The Virgin Suicides by Jeffery Eugenides (Fic Eugenidies)

A group of teenage boys in a Detroit suburb have come under the siren spell of a group of sisters, the Lisbon girls.  The youngest, Cecilia, has killed herself by jumping out a bedroom window onto a fence. Shocked by the mystery behind Cecilia’s death, the boys are increasingly fascinated as the strict and secretive Lisbon family goes into hiding  and the house falls into disrepair.  The boys become obsessed with “rescuing”  the Lisbon girls-and when they make a date with the girls for the prom, they’ve almost achieved their goal.  But one sister, Lux, has become promiscuous–dooming herself and her sisters.   This somewhat gruesome but always fascinating story will mesmerize readers.
